In 2022, RIOT Games aimed to propel Valorant esports to the top of the global FPS scene, but first, we needed to conquer the Latin American market. Our primary goals were to boost awareness, viewership, and nurture the local esports ecosystem. With over 800,000 active players in the region, and 720,000 expressing interest in esports, we faced a crucial challenge: how to convert Valorant enthusiasts into devoted VCT fans, considering only 30,000 were tuning in to live tournaments. Our mission was to bridge this gap and ignite a passion for competitive Valorant in the region.
